Question: Are the bulbs dimmable?
Answer: Our C7 incandescent bulbs are dimmable.
Question: Are these bulbs plastic or glass?
Answer: Our C7 incandescent bulbs are made of glass and are breakable.
Question: Are these bulbs double or triple dipped bulbs?
Answer: All of our ceramic incandescent bulbs are double Dipped
Question: What is the wattage?
Answer: Our C7 bulbs are 5 watts. *please see our C7-7 clear and our C7 twinkle for wattage.
Question: What is the voltage?
Answer: Our C7 bulbs are 130 volts, and will work in both 120v and 130v outputs.
Question: Why are they 130 volts? Isn't standard output 120 volts?
Answer: The voltage represents the amount of volts your bulbs can handle, so a 130v bulb is better than a 120v bulb! A higher voltage allows the bulb a longer life.
Question: what is an E12 base bulb?
Answer: An E12 base is an candelabra base, it measures at 1/2”.
Question: How long is the lifespan of these bulbs?
Answer: Our incandescent bulbs have a 3000 hour lifespan.
Question: What is the warranty of these bulbs
Answer: 2 seasons or 1 year if you keep them up year round
Question: Are these for indoor/outdoor decoration?
Answer: These can be for both indoor and outdoor use. These bulbs are commonly used for roof lines and large trees on the exterior of the home.
Question: Do these bulbs get hot?
Answer: They are warm to the touch, like all traditional incandescent bulbs.
Question: Are these single replacement bulbs?
Answer: We sell our incandescent replacement bulbs in packs of 25.
Question: Are these UL Listed?
Answer: Our C7 replacement bulbs are not UL listed but comply with all UL Standards
Question: Can these be used in a string I already own?
Answer: 90% of the time this will work. There are 2 points of contact the bulb needs to work; one on the bottom and one on the side. Most of the time our bulbs will work in other strings, so yes I would try it and if they do not work then you may need to replace the string or try a different brand bulb. You will also need to make sure the string can handle a 7 watt bulb in each socket.
Question: How many can I string together?
Answer: This particular product is just replacement bulbs. Our strings are sold separate. These can be made with green, white, brown or black wire.
Question: What kind of stringer do these lights work on?
Answer: The C7 bulbs will work with a stringer that has an E12 base. The strings come in green, white, brown or black.
Question: What is the actual size of a C7 bulb?
Answer: A C7 bulb measures at 1” wide, 2 ¼” Tall, ½” base.
Question: What is the base material made of?
Answer: Our C7 bulbs have a nickel coated base.
Question: Can these be used as indoor decoration?
Answer: These can be used as indoor decoration, but are typically used for outdoor lighting. Typically used for rooflines and larger tree decorating.
Question: Will a C7 bulb fit into a C9 bulb socket?
Answer: Although the bulbs look similar they have different base sizes. The C9 is an E17 base. The C7 is a traditional candelabra base which is classified as an E12 base.
Question: Does the white ceramic bulb shine as a pure white or a warmer white?
Answer: That particular bulb is going to be a warmer white.
Question: Can you see through this bulb?
Answer: You cannot see through these bulbs they are painted in a solid opaque color. If you would like a bulb you can see through please see our transparent line.
Question: Will the color of the bulb be a true red, blue, green, etc.
Answer: The Incandescent bulbs have a white light inside and the bulb is dipped in color. Because the light inside is white the color on the outside is muted. If you want a true color please take a look at the LED bulbs, these have a colored light inside as well as the bulb having the same color.
