Question: Can these be used in a string I already own?
Answer: 90% of the time this will work. There are 2 points of contact the bulb needs to work; one on the bottom and one on the side. Most of the time our bulbs will work in other strings, so yes I would try it and if they do not work then you may need to replace the string or try a different brand bulb. You will also need to make sure the string can handle a 11 watt bulb in each socket
Question: What is the voltage?
Answer: Our S14 bulbs are 130 volts, and will work in both 120v and 130v outputs.
Question: Why are they 130 volts? Isn't standard output 120 volts?
Answer: The voltage represents the amount of volts your bulbs can handle, so a 130v bulb is better than a 120v bulb! A higher voltage allows the bulb a longer life.
